Gaya says:

Oh well, if things don't work for you, it's best to stop.
I wish you both the best of luck in the future.

in responce to the comic, aren't we al when the things we want most are taken away or dangled in front of us.

JediNite says:

This is a shame. You guys came up with some great stuff... it'll be different now.
Still, good luck to you both. Hopefully you'll both go on to do really nifty stuff again!

Waf says:

The biggest differences are probably going to be background artwork and speech bubbles. I wrote basically everything so the comic isn't going to change much in that respect. Course heck if anything looks off just lemme know and I'll work on it.

Also I'd like to point out that Jack's joke was written back before the comic was even started. Duct tape is invincible.

Robert says:

Comics that you've had planned for months are always the most satisfying.

Seriously, Goodbye.

Basically I'm here to state once and for all that I bear no ill will toward Art or anyone else involved in JAB. Art is both a gentleman and a scholar, and he certianly isn't a jerk, a twat, or any form of asshat.

I'm slightly ashamed of myself for writing with feeling, but I'm more ashamed of you for thinking he's anything less than an amazing, nice, generous person. (I mean, after 21 years of knowing a guy, you'd think you know him, right?)

So, here's the scoop on the amazing JAB breakup of 2007. We've mutually decided that the best thing for JAB is to split up. Art gets to keep it and I get to give him a monthly support check (his lawyer was amazing).

There are no hard feelings (that's what she said) between anyone ever.

The world is butterflies and rainbows and no one is ever upset.

Now, goodbye, have fun, and good luck.

Clarification.

Ok I'm getting asked this a lot. So for clarification. JaB is not ending or going on hiatus or anything. Next comic is on Monday. When Zach joined me the agreement we had up front was that if the team ever disolved I'd keep all the JaB stuff so it could continue on, and it shall.

A Small Warning

Yes, Zach is going. I hate for it to end like this but I'm afraid there's not really anything left to say or do about that matter.

I do want to say though, in his post he links to an article in his blog about his feelings and the story of this. Before you go into reading this story you need to remember, it was written entirely by him while he was upset. My opinions and motives are all assembled by him while he was mad at me. It contains many things that are out of context or lack context. Many events are left out or misrepresented and as far as I can tell a couple parts of it are fabricated. Zach has stated to me that the feelings associated with it are completely gone now. So I suggest that if you want to read it that you should treat it as creative writing rather than any sort of historical representation.

Before anyone asks, no I have no intention of writing out a separate story to the recent events. I hate Internet drama with a passion and in all honesty it's absolutely none of you guy's business. Zach wants you guys to read his thing. I'm not exactly sure why anymore, but I just want to warn you upfront that context is everything.

With that out of the way, Zach is already working on two new project. I do recommend you go dig the links out of his news post for those.

Goodbye!

So, this is it: My last comic.

There have been some differences between Art and I, and we've decided that it would be best if I did my own thing. Art wanted me to wait for a while longer, but I can't seem to keep myself around doing something that I'm not really needed to do.

The above link was written when I was upset about the whole deal, so there is a lot of negative bias in there. We've tried to keep as much drama off the front page as possible, and for the most part, it's worked. Please know that I am not upset at Art, and I have no problems working with him again in the future. We were just, as Art stated, "Going different ways with the comic."

No one is at fault here, so there is no need to take sides.

I will be moving Rubber Cement and am working on a new project as we speak. I am not gone from the internet—just JAB.

Have a great run, guys, and good luck.
